A fine quality Georgian Silver Vinaigrette dated 1818, crafted in the form of a Padlock by the highly regarded Birmingham silversmiths, Ledsam & Vale.
Hallmarked on base, cover and pierced grill. Fully gilded interior. Engraved scrolling leaf and floral decoration incorporating a vacant cartouche to the centre of the cover.
This superb quality vinaigrette displays beautifully and would be a wonderful addition to any collection of antique English silver. A very rare antique piece!
In very good condition. Full hallmarks to the interior of the cover, grill and interior of the base are all very clear.
